Who is your ideal reader, and what do you hope they get from reading your book?
My ideal reader is anyone who has ever felt unseen, abandoned, underestimated, or forced to fight harder than others just to exist, especially Black people, queer people, entrepreneurs, and dreamers carrying pain while trying to build meaningful lives. I hope readers walk away understanding that survival is not the end of the story; it is possible to turn grief into purpose, rebuild yourself after rejection, and create something powerful even when the world was never designed for you to win.
What is your full-time profession?
Medical doctor and CEO
YOUR WRITING PROCESS
What inspired you to begin writing this book?
What inspired me to write this book was therapy, reflection, and finally giving myself permission to stop simply surviving and start unpacking my life. For years, I was constantly building — building businesses, building dreams, rebuilding myself after every fall — but I rarely stopped to process the emotional cost of that journey. I often searched for inspiration in entrepreneurial books, but many of them felt incomplete to me. They celebrated success without fully acknowledging the grief, abandonment, identity struggles, mental health battles, and personal losses that shape the people behind the businesses. I wanted to write something more honest — a story that shows how what happens outside the boardroom inevitably impacts what happens inside it, and how resilience is often messy, painful, and deeply human
How long did it take you to complete your book’s final draft?

What were some of the biggest challenges you faced in writing your book, and how did you overcome them?
