South African Bookfairs 2023

For those of you from (or at least interested in) the South African literary scene, here are the events I could find information from as of the date of writing. I really hope we will have a busier book year than this list implies.

Jewish Literary Festival  = 21 March 2023

Franschhoek Literary Festival = 21 May 2023

Kingsmead Book Fair = 27 May 2023

Open Book Festival = 8-10 September 2023

Jozi Book Fair = 10-12 November 2023

    The Eastern Cape will also be hosting its second annual book fair in October in the city of literature, Buffalo City Metro Municipality as declared by UNESCO.

    The Jozi Book Fair dates are now from 10-12 November 2023.

    BLOEMFONTEIN will be hosting the inaugural Central Book Festival on 22-24 September 2023.
    Central Book Festival is on Facebook and http://www.centralbookfest.co.za supported by the National Arts Council
